During operation, the customer’s dryer shut down and ceased movement .
A buildup of lint and loose threads in your dryer duct is a recipe for wet, lint-covered laundry at best, and deadly house fires at worst. In this case, the customer was lucky. The thick blockage in the exhaust vent caused the dryer to overheat and shut down, alerting the customer to the problem before something worse happened. We used hooks to pull the masses of lint blockage out of the exhaust duct, and then vacuumed and scraped the interior. The dryer itself might need repair, but it won’t overheat again.
