The Rubanes had a pair of air system vents that were visibly rusty on the grates and dirty inside.
Unscrewing and prying the pair of vent grates out gave us access to the front and back of each grid, as well as the duct entrances normally sheltered by their edges. All of them got washed, scrubbed, scraped, before being air dried and secured in place again.
