Mr. Mikaru noticed bits of lint appearing in his dry laundry, which was also less dry than it should have been.
A dryer’s exhaust vent slowly catches lint that isn’t caught by the filter screen. The more lint that builds up inside the vent duct, the less efficient it becomes at eliminating the dryer’s waste heat. If it gets to the point where lint is backing up into the dryer, that means the duct is dangerously clogged and could become a fire hazard. Pulling out the lint obstruction and sweeping the insides of the duct solved the problem.
